Don’t date a girl who travels

She’s the one with the messy unkempt hair colored by the sun. Her skin is now far from fair like it once was. Not even sun kissed. It’s burnt with multiple tan lines, wounds and bites here and there. But for every flaw on her skin, she has an interesting story to tell.

Don’t date a girl who travels. She is hard to please. The usual dinner-movie date at the mall will suck the life out of her. Her soul craves for new experiences and adventures. She will be unimpressed with your new car and your expensive watch. She would rather climb a rock or jump out of an airplane than hear you brag about it.

Don’t date a girl who travels because she will bug you to book a flight every time there’s an airline seat sale. She wont party at Republiq. And she will never pay over $100 for Avicii because she knows that one weekend of clubbing is equivalent to one week somewhere far more exciting.
Chances are, she can’t hold a steady job. Or she’s probably daydreaming about quitting. She doesn’t want to keep working her ass off for someone else’s dream. She has her own and is working towards it. She is a freelancer. She makes money from designing, writing, photography or something that requires creativity and imagination. Don’t waste her time complaining about your boring job.

Don’t date a girl who travels. She might have wasted her college degree and switched careers entirely. She is now a dive instructor or a yoga teacher. She’s not sure when the next paycheck is coming. But she doesn’t work like a robot all day, she goes out and takes what life has to offer and challenges you to do the same.

Don’t date a girl who travels for she has chosen a life of uncertainty. She doesn’t have a plan or a permanent address. She goes with the flow and follows her heart. She dances to the beat of her own drum. She doesn’t wear a watch. Her days are ruled by the sun and the moon. When the waves are calling, life stops and she will be oblivious to everything else for a moment. But she has learned that the most important thing in life isn’t surfing.

Don’t date a girl who travels as she tends to speak her mind. She will never try to impress your parents or friends. She knows respect, but isn’t afraid to hold a debate about global issues or social responsibility.
She will never need you. She knows how to pitch a tent and screw her own fins without your help. She cooks well and doesn’t need you to pay for her meals. She is too independent and wont care whether you travel with her or not. She will forget to check in with you when she arrives at her destination. She’s busy living in the present. She talks to strangers. She will meet many interesting, like-minded people from around the world who share her passion and dreams. She will be bored with you.

So never date a girl who travels unless you can keep up with her. And if you unintentionally fall in love with one, don’t you dare keep her. Let her go.

This article was so popular specially to many travelers like me. in fact it was translated to different language such as South American Spanish (EU & SA), Portuguese (EU & Brazil), German, Italian, Portuguese (Brazil), Russian, French-Canadian, Dutch, Greek, Danish, Portuguese European, Swedish, Croatian, Estonian, Russian, Czech, European Spanish and Thai. I'll try of translating it to my own language once I got the chance to fix my time.

How to Pack Like a Pro

TIPS FOR PACKING EVERYTHING IN A CARRY-ON SUITCASE

  1.  Lay everything you want to take on your bed or
on the floor. Once you have it all, eliminate the third of your wardrobe.
  2.  Start with your shoes. Roll and stuff your
underwear and socks inside on it and use every square inch of its space.
  3.  Once your shoes are firmly in place filled
awkward gap with softs such as t-shirts, jockeys, socks or thighs. It will be
better if you can roll each item.
  4.  For bulky items such as, jeans, dresses, skirts,
and jackets; Layout the first one, preferably the jeans with one end on the
center and one on the edge, then put on the second item, doing the same
routine; and do it continuously until you put every bulky items. Finally, one
by one fold the garments back in.
  5.  For non clothing such as toiletries, cameras,
sunglasses; put this things in the middle to put extra protection. Make sure
that you doubled-bag your toiletries to avoid any leak
  6. Put your beautiful folded shirt on top as a
    final layer
Try it!!!

What I usually do when I'm travelling?

(The other side of me )

Despite of my jolly attitude, no one knows what is my passion, and that is to write. Yes I am a frustrated writer and every time I went to other places, I see to it that I have my writing before I left the place.

I can't leave without my camera so there will be no wasted moment. I see to it that I can capture everything that is worth remembering. Memories are  one's precious gift.

I always have my laptop with me because this is the one to witness my imaginations. I just look for a beautiful place wherein I can process my thoughts and presto.. there I will write whatever I want.

Though there were electronic diaries,  I still stuck to my own  diary writing. There, I record every single moment I have for the day.

Have this stuff!!! I assure you, every journey counts. :)

Lip-smacking Strawberry Taho

You’ll surely wouldn’t complete your Baguio escapade without tasting their Yummy Strawberry Taho.  I got to try mine at the Lion’s Head at the Kennan Road and after that, I craved for it and from then, I never missed the chance to buy to any vendor of this yummy taho from everywhere in the province. This is exclusively available only in Baguio City so I never missed the chance to satiate myself with this lip-smacking strawberry taho.

Many Filipinos living outside the Philippines would surely craved for this delicious snack and even visitors from different countries never missed their chance to taste this yummy taho because  aside from its taste,  it is  also proven to be healthy.  And since taho has been popular as one the Philippines all-time favorite street foods, the filipinos cleverness never missed their chance to try different recipes that will surely satisfy everyone’s taste and Baguio City was successful to make their own recipe and that is to add their pride fruit “strawberry” as a twist to the taho delicacy.

This usually comes in small size (15) and big (20) it’s affordable and it will surely satisfy your tongue. There's usually a vendor in Lion’s Head,Mines View Park and Burnham park and other tourist place in Baguio City. Like usual Taho, strawberry taho vendors has their 2 aluminum tub with them that contains the tofu and on the other is the strawberry arnibal(sugar syrup) and the Sago pearl and using the spatula the vendor will then slice and scoop the tofu and put it in your mug, add some strawberry arnibal( sugared strawberry syrup), the sago pearl and mix it together. The taste of the strawberry taho was so delightful because in every bite you’ll taste the real strawberry in it and you can't resist to ask for more strawberry arnibal to satisfy your craveness.
